Dr. Smith graduated from Parker College of Chiropractic in Dallas, Texas in 1990. He has had his practice at this location for over 10 years. Prior to that, his office was located with Dr. Brimhall's office. He served his internship with Dr. James Warner in Keizer, Oregon from June 1990 until May of 1991. Dr. Smith received an A.A. Degree from Los Angeles Pierce College in Secretarial Science in 1976 and his B.A. in Communications from Brigham Young University in 1978. From there he advanced to Dallas, for his Doctorate degree in Chiropractic Care.

Dr. Smith is certified with over 60 hours of advanced training in Whiplash Injuries from Dr. Croft of the Spine Research Institute of San Diego. He received certification of the Pro-Adjustor treatment in 2007 from the Pro-Adjustor Institute in Pittsburgh, PA. Dr. Smith is also certified in activator methods, carpal tunnel treatment and laser therapy.

Dr. Smith is a current member of the Farmington Chamber of Commerce and the Tres Rios Breakfast Rotary Club. His hobbies include fishing, singing barbershop music and woodworking. He and his wife are the parents of 9 adopted children with 2 children still at home, and 13 grandchildren.
